Click the arrow on each special effect option to reveal either a checkbox or a slide bar. For a checkbox, click in the box to apply the effect. For a slide bar, move the circle back and forth along the line to apply the effect to whatever degree you’d like. The box will be highlighted and a gray X will appear in the top right corner of each box while the effect is in place. To cancel, click on the X and the photo will return to normal.
