Subcollections are published just like the collections. Importantly, the subcollection can be displayed within the collection. This is a useful way to present many pictures as it simplifies the viewers experience (by providing a viewing index). And it facilitates the publication as the subcollection can use the same presentation options that were chosen for the collection.

This is how it works: Select «Publish webalbum» for a subcollection and chose «shall be shared the same way as the collection named (name of the collection)». When you choose this option, the subcollection will be published with the collection and will appear as a subcollection presented with the same options as you chose for the collection. A subcollection does not have to be presented as part of a collection, it can stand on its own with its own presentation options.

Sharing a subcollection the same way as its parent

For subcollections that presented as part of a collection, when you make changes, these can be made at the collection level, and these changes will be propagated to the subcollections. For example you can change the presentation skin and these changes will be transferred to the subcollections.
